Prescription Drug Plan

Most Medicare drug plans have a “coverage gap”. The coverage gap begins after you and your drug plan together have spent a certain amount for covered drugs. Once you enter the gap you will pay a percentage of the plans cost for covered brand name and generic drugs until you reach the end of the gap. You would then enter the “catastrophic coverage” stage of your plan. The coverage gap is scheduled to close in 2020.
